Victorian School Trip

Year 5 recently travelled back in time to Victorian School and experienced a once in a lifetime authentic Victorian school day. Boys and girls lined up for nail and shoe inspection and experienced separate lessons. Girls were taught household chores whilst boys learnt all about the beehive and made their own beeswax candle. Both groups used an ink pen to hand write in their copy books and learnt about the Articles of Correction. The braver children volunteered to demonstrate the dunce cap, posture boards and even the cane...(thankfully Ms Squire did not need to actually use it as behaviour was exemplary during the trip!).

We hope you enjoy the pictures from this unique experience!
