DT and Computing - Microbits
Using micro:bits and the website www.microbit.org we used code in blocks to write an algorithm. We started with basic commands and input but then became confident to use music, led, radio, loops, logic, variables and maths in our projects.
We started simply and progressed through different projects as we felt more confident. We could generate ideas with this computer aided design. We could apply this understanding of computing to program, monitor and control a real-life project, for example, a fitness reminder. We discussed the everyday items that use this technology, so many we take for granted or didn’t think about how they actually work!
