Fun Science Club
Over the past few years, we have been working with Fun Science to deliver science clubs to a number of different year groups. It is always great fun and delivers science knowledge in a fun and interactive way. If you would like to find out more, you could take a look at their website:

Here are some photos of the Year 4, 5 and 6 club doing chemistry based activities. They learnt about atoms and the periodic table and then they used a chemical reaction to make 'elephant's toothpaste, with washing up liquid, yeast, water and hydrogen peroxide. Finally, they built atoms using pipe cleaners and beads.
The Year 1 and 2 club also looked at chemical reactions and enjoyed making slime.
Fun Science Club September 2022
We currently have two science clubs being run by Fun Science. This week, the Year 1 and 2 club were learning about sound and how sound travels. As part of this learning, the children played games on the field to test their hearing. The Year 5 and 6 club looked at chemistry and learnt about polymers, atoms and molecules. To demonstrate this, they made slime and farting putty, which could also be turned into a bouncy ball!

Photos from Year 5 and 6 club when they were testing substances for their PH levels and Year 3 and 4 club who were making mini robots called 'Potbots'.
Much fun and learning took place in this week's Year 5 and 6 club when the pupils learnt about different types of energy!
