1st March 2021
Dear parents and carers,
Firstly, can we just say a huge thank you for all working so hard during home learning and delivering the work that we have planned. Your support has been much appreciated. We are now looking forward to having all the children back in school next week and getting back to a routine (we are sure you are too!).
We understand that it may be difficult to be as motivated this week, however the expectation is that children will continue to work from the pack as usual as it links to the learning in school next week. Please, if possible, can you email in completed work by 4pm on Friday 5.3.21 so that we can look at this and be ready to give the children feedback when they are back in school. The pieces required this week are:
- History - Fact File Queen Victoria
- English - Pullman Analysis Sheet
- Maths - Arithmetic Paper (marked)
We will not be checking the yearfive email as regularly as we have been doing as obviously we will be back teaching in the class. If you have an urgent issue, please email the admin team as you have done previously and a message will be passed on to us.
This week, World Book Day is on Thursday and English/Live Sessions are themed around this with specific activities for your child to do and share. Please note: there are no English videos this week and we are continuing our work on the author study of Philip Pullman, by looking at some of his work.
Please email in any outstanding work by 4pm Friday 5th March 2021 to: yearfive@catherinewayte.swindon.sch.uk.
Thank you for your continued engagement and support.
Mrs Hemns, Mrs Minter, Mrs Willett and the Year 5 Team.
