Design Technology: Christmas Decorations
We had a letter from Jingle the Elf asking us to help him decide on some new Christmas Decorations. We looked at what colours, sizes, materials and so on were effective. Then we designed our own felt decoration and chose either a bauble, snowman, star or tree shape. We used a template to draw the shape and cut out two pieces carefully. Our chosen decorations were sewn on and then we sewed the two pieces together using running stitch. Wadding in the middle added some extra texture and softness to our decoration. To help Jingle we evaluated our designs to see how effective they were and how like our original plan. We are very proud of our decorations and are sure Jingle will find the photos of our work helpful in Santa's workshop.
