Ancient Greek Related Art and Printing
In History lessons, Year 5 have been learning about how artefacts, such as pots, tell us about how the Ancient Greeks lived and their religions and beliefs. In Art, Year 5 explored the type of repeating patterns that were used on Ancient Greek pots and then used a jelly cube to create a repeating pattern on their own artwork. They also explored and sketched the type of images which were used on these pots. We all agreed that the jelly printing was quite difficult but could be effective when using a simple pattern with lines or dots. It was definitely good fun, if a bit sticky at times!
