The Stay Safe Initiative
At our school we take online safety very seriously and Richard from The Stay Safe Initiative spent the morning with Year 5 and 6 pupils discussing their digital lives and keeping them safe. It was an interactive morning with lots of children getting involved. Richard covered the three main themes of: interacting, connecting and sharing with the aim of empowering our pupils to be positive, safe and good digital citizens. He introduced many useful hints and tips to help children to remember how we should act in our digital lives with the Golden Rule of: Speak Out and Tell Someone. He finished the session with the Toothpaste Challenge, which was not only great fun to watch but also had a very important message! If you're not sure what this message is, ask your child to explain!
