Greek Vases and Temples

As part of their work on Ancient Greece, the Year 5 children have been looking at Greek pottery and architecture.

They practiced repeating patterns and sketching using Greek pottery to inspire their designs and then created a final piece of their Greek vase.

The children have also studied Greek architecture and used this to create their own 3D models using cardboard and rolls to create the columns.

METACOGNITION - Learning how to juggle

As part of our Metacognition learning, Year 5 have been learning the new skill of juggling.  After discussing how we might learn this new skill, Year 5 pupil began practising with scarves and just one ball. We then moved on to using THREE balls and practised this new skill in the playground so that we had lots of space to move around in.
