Primary School

22nd February 2021

Dear Parents

Welcome to the learning resources for the first week of Term 4!  Remember of course, that this is the week starting Monday 22nd February, as next week is the half term break and so time for a well-deserved rest with no lessons planned and no live sessions.  You’ve all done brilliantly this term.  Let’s hope before too long we can get back to normal schooling!

From now on, the Monday drop-in sessions will always be at 10am as children have said they find it more useful in the morning. The live sessions on Wednesday and Friday will also continue to begin at 2.15pm each week, rather than 2pm.

We would like to thank you again for all the support you continue to give your children during these challenging times and very much look forward to the day when we are all back together in school again. Thank you also for sending us lots of your children’s work to look at – it is great to see how well they are doing and we really enjoyed seeing the results of the children's investigations into Harris Burdick's casefile.  The theme clearly captured many imaginations as we received a great range of writing with some really creative twists!

As usual, the week’s learning resources can be found on Microsoft Teams as well as on this page.  Please do keep encouraging your child to share their work with us, or let you do so if they don’t have the technical capability.  Work can be emailed to yearsix@catherinewayte.swindon.sch.uk or uploaded to Teams, although we won’t necessarily know it’s there unless you also email us to tell us!

Have a fantastic half term and stay safe,

Mr Shammas and Mrs Tomlins
