Our multicultural and multi-faith school community!

At Catherine Wayte Primary we are aware that the world in the 21st century is a multicultural one and that Swindon is an area which embraces many cultures. As a staff we recognise this fact and commit ourselves to ensuring that all the pupils receive an education that allows them to take their place and play their part in our current society.

The school will ensure that it actively promotes equal opportunities and gives children an understanding of the wide range of ethnic, cultural and religious influences that have shaped their own heritage and that of others. In this way the children will develop tolerance and respect for the diversity of races and beliefs, preparing them to live harmoniously in modern society.

Throughout the year we recognise the faiths and festivals celebrated within our school community both within the classrooms and assemblies.
