Westonbirt Arboretum Trip
WHAT A DAY!
Y2 had a fantastic day at Westonbirt Arboretum.
The day started a little earlier than usual. Y2 arrived at School at 8.15am ready for an 8.30am departure. The weather was great and everyone had a lovely time.
During the day, the children took part in Learning with Nature Workshops. Y2 learnt about: how plants are used - furniture, food, medicine, clothing; the life cycle of plants as well as how they can keep plants healthy; different trees and their leaves in the Arboretum.
There was some time carrying out a Scavenger Hunt - finding worms, ants, plants etc. Then they went on create some Art in Nature.
