Pentatonic Melodies
This term, the children have explored pentatonic melodies and syncopated rhythms (a variety of rhythms played together to make a piece of music) and that the fundamental dimensions of music are the same all over the world. They have enjoyed learning new songs (sung in a round), composing their own pentatonic melodies and playing syncopated rhythms as a class to go with a repeated pentatonic melody.
