Take One Picture Art Project

This year the 'Take One Picture' Art project has been based on the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations. The children learnt about the Queen and her long reign and why this jubilee is so special. 

Year 3 decided to make their own version of a jubilee coin because the Queen's head is an important feature on coins. They started off by designing their own Catherine Wayte coin using the Catherine Wayte logo colours and some collage skills. After this, they went on to design their version of a platinum jubilee coin. They used printed pictures of pound coins which were cut out and stuck onto the Queen's head to create a collage effect.
