Abbey Park Sports Event
Abbey Park secondary school very kindly hosted an amazing sports day for the local primary schools in this area; Catherine Wayte pupils had a great time!. Year 5 enjoyed taking part in a variety of sports including hammer throwing, high jump, long jump, hurdles, running, shot put, javelin and golf. All the children tried their hardest to beat their personal best. Medals were awarded to a boy and girl from each class for effort, enthusiasm and perseverance. The teachers kept scores and all the children received either a silver or gold certificate back at school - proving how well they did! Overall it was a fantastic opportunity and the children learnt many new sporting skills.
