Following Darwin's Journey!

In Science, we have been studying evolution and adaptation; it has been tricky getting to grips with the theory of natural selection and common ancestry, but now we're well versed in the ideas of Charles Darwin (and Alfred Russell Wallace!).

We have:

  • investigated commonly inherited traits from parent to offspring;
  • explored observable instances of evolution in action by looking at the extreme adaptations of cave salamanders and snakes, as well as the peppered moth (and even made some of our own);
  • followed the route of Charles Darwin around the world on the HMS Beagle;
  • written essays about evolution, including some notable adaptations of predators and prey.

It's not always easy being a scientist!
