Year 5 - Science - Thermal Conductivity Investigation
In Term 3, our science topic is 'Properties and Changes of Materials'. As part of this work, Year 5 have been testing different materials to discover which one is the best thermal insulator so they can recommend which material would be best for the inside of a lunch box. We planned our investigation, discussing the different variables and trying to ensure that we conducted a fair test by keeping the controlled variables the same. In Voyager 4, we discovered that the cotton material was the best thermal insulator and we presented our results on a comparative line graph.
