Investigating Structural Strength
In DT this term we are looking at shelters, so we have started by looking at the strength of different shapes and structures. We made our own cubes out of pipe-cleaners, and discovered that a cube is not a very strong structure, as even a small amount of pressure through a vertex (3d corner!) can destroy the entire thing!
