Holi

Holi is a very important Hindu festival that celebrates Spring, love and new life.

Holi is a very colourful festival with dancing,singing and the throwing of powder paint. It is known as the Festival of Colours. Holi celebrates the legend of Holika and Prahlad and the Hindu god Krishna . Holi lasts for two days. On the first night people light bonfires

and throw on grains and popcorn. On the second day everybody joins in a celebration of colour and throws powdered paint.
