Designing Christmas Decorations
Year 2 had an amazing time this term designing and making their own Christmas Decorations.
We had to evaluate existing decorations - explaining which ones we liked and why. We then designed our own decorations. We could add extras to the design such as sequins, ribbons and buttons.
Then for the hard work. We cut out felt using a template to help us and start the sewing. We found the trickiest bit was keeping the thread on the needle! We now have some experts in this.
The final products were very good and so to end the topic we completed an evaluation. This included what we liked about our decoration as well as what we would change if we did this Design and Technology topic again.
