Key Workers

We are committed to supporting our key worker families to the best of our ability.  In line with current government advice, we are not in a position to broaden our offer of partial opening to those families who are being asked to return to work but who are not key workers themselves.   We appreciate this may mean that some people are unable to return to work at this point due to difficulties with childcare, but the safety of our pupils and staff is, as always, our primary concern.  With a reduced staffing capacity and many logistical issues to overcome, we cannot safely cater for any significant increase in numbers at this time.

If you are already on our original list of key worker families but have not yet taken up the school offer, you can still do so provided that all primary care givers (e.g. mother and father) are key workers and have been called in to work.

If you are not on our original list of key workers, but believe that you qualify based on the guidance above and would like to find out if there is capacity in school for your child, please complete the attached form and send it to admin@catherinewayte.swindon.sch.uk, along with proof of employment from an eligible organisation.  Depending on the organisation, we may also require a letter that confirms your position as a key role.
