Van Gogh's Sunflowers: A Journey in Shade, Tone, and Color Mixing
In our recent art lessons, we delved into the world of Vincent Van Gogh, studying many of his iconic paintings. Our primary focus was on his famous "Sunflower," which we recreated using sketching pencils and paints. We explored shade and tone, learning to mix colors to capture the vibrant essence of Van Gogh's work. This project allowed them to express their creativity while learning about one of history's most celebrated artists.
