Young Photographer of the Year Competition
The Rotary Club hold an annual competition for Young Photographer of the Year. Last year one of our pupils won second prize in the local heats and joined other Swindon youngsters at a presentation at the Mayor's parlour!
The competition this year is on the theme of 'Rebuilding'. This can be interpreted as broadly as the young photographer wishes and does not need to conform to the dictionary definition of the word. It provides the widest opportunity for entrants to share their creative talents and show what the term means for them.
The competition aims to encourage young people to:
- experiment with photography
- use digital and/or traditional methods of photography
- demonstrate interpretation of the topic
- express personal ideas through the medium of photography
TO ENTER:
Produce one photograph based on the theme 'Rebuilding'. Mobile phones or cameras may be used. Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form and brief sentence describing the relationship of the photograph to the theme. It must be submitted via digital format and be sent electronically to Mrs Wheeler at admin@catherinewayte.bluekitetrust.org by 22nd November.
