School Hours

Core Hours

Catherine Wayte Primary School has a start time of 8.30am, Monday - Friday. Children should arrive on site and be ready to enter the school gates when they open at 8.30am.

All children have a 15 minute morning break.

FS2 and KS1 children often have a 15 minute afternoon break.

FS2 and KS1 children have their lunch break from 11.50 - 12.50pm.

KS2 children have their lunch break from 12.10 - 1.00pm.

School finishes at 3.00pm, Monday - Friday.

Children are expected to attend school for the core 32.5 hours per week.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club runs from 8.00am, Monday - Friday. Children must be registered to attend and slots booked in advance. Sessions cost £3.00 per day. Childcare vouchers are accepted.

After-school Childcare

The Big Adventure Club provides after-school childcare on site, 3.00 - 6.00pm, Monday - Friday. Further information including pricing and booking arrangements are available direct from The Big A.

Extra-curricular Provision

A wide range of after-school extra-curricular provision is available. This is advertised termly and sessions must be booked in advance. Some provision is free to attend whereas other clubs may incur a small charge. Funding support may be provided for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
