Science - Day and night

In Science, we have been studying Earth and Space. Year 5 have enjoyed finding out about the Earth, Sun and Moon, as well as the planets in our solar system. In addition, they have been learning about what causes night and day and understanding words such as rotate and orbit. In order to help their understanding, the children were given balls and torches and they had to use these create a model to explain how day and night was caused by the rotation of the Earth.
