Year 3 Scientists at Work! 🧪🪨

Today, Year 3 turned into scientists as they investigated rocks to find out which were permeable (let water through) and which were impermeable (did not let water through).

First, the children made careful predictions, thinking about what might happen and explaining their ideas like real scientists. They then carried out their investigation to see if their predictions were correct.

To make sure it was a fair test, the children carefully poured the same amount of water onto each rock and observed what happened. They watched closely and discussed their results.

We are very proud to say that the children were fantastic scientists — they worked sensibly, shared ideas, and most of them predicted correctly! Well done, Year 3, for your brilliant scientific thinking and teamwork.
