Perimeter
In maths, the children explored the concept of perimeter and area in a hands-on way. They used a piece of string to measure the perimeter of a leaf, then used that same length of string to create a new leaf shape. This activity showed them that while two shapes can have the same perimeter, their outlines can be very different. It was a fun and creative way to understand an important mathematical idea and see how shape and size relate in real life.
