STEM Showcase June 2025

On 26th June, Catherine Wayte held their first STEM Showcase event. Three year groups showcased their recent work on the following STEM Projects:

Year 2 - Tipper Trucks in conjunction with Primary Engineering

Year 4 - Light up Towers also in conjunction with Primary Engineering

Year 6 - Microbit Maze Games

All year groups got to go and see the projects and voted for their favourite project from each year group; families were invited towards the end of the day to see the projects and it was great to see so many turn up.  It was a fun and enjoyable day and great to be able to celebrate some imaginative STEM creations.

Towards the end of day and after school, families were invited to visit the event and celebrate the projects. The event was well received by both pupils and families and it was great to see so many families; thank you very much to those that attended.

Finally, Mrs Minter could not have run the day without some helpers who explained their projects to each of the classes. A massive thank you to the following children who spoke with great confidence and knowledge: Rae-Elle, Moses and Holy (Year 2); Savannah, Molly, Finley B-C and Fin W (Year 4) and Olivia K, Elizabeth, Lyra and Freya (Year 6).
