Exploring Volume Through Practical Investigation
This week, the children have been learning about volume. Today, they had the opportunity to explore this practically by choosing a range of containers and estimating their volume. They then poured the water into a measuring jug to check how accurate their estimates were.
The children handled the water sensibly, worked extremely well in their groups, and showed great teamwork throughout the activity. Most importantly, they had lots of fun while developing their mathematical understanding.
