Exploring Ocean Life Through Postcards
In English, we have been exploring the picture book Flotsam. We began by learning about the key features of a postcard before the children were challenged to write their own. They pretended to be sea creatures writing to another sea creature or a human, describing what life is like beneath the ocean. The children had so much fun using their imaginations, writing their postcards, and creating detailed illustrations to accompany their work.
