Summer Terms Curriculum Map

Year 5 will continue with the theme of "Victorians" during Term 5.  This will involve writing non-chronological reports about Victorian schools in English, and reading "Oliver Twist" and extracts from other classic novels in our Guided Reading.  In History, we will look at the impact of the Great Western Railway on Swindon and how the Industrial Revolution heralded a new age for Britain.   Our Science work will focus on Animals and Habitats.  We are looking forward to our trip to Sevington Victorian school, and to our Sports Day in Term 6.
